Combined with 20 years of experience in language teaching in Finland, and with a love for international relations, our founder Mari takes pride in introducing foreign teachers to the Finnish education system through our structured training courses.
We offer two kinds of structured training courses. Our Lucina® courses are basic courses, taking place in Oulu, Finland. In this option, we will introduce you to how the Finnish education system works. We will take care of the course content and the training, and will also offer optional extra-curricular activities. In this course-only option, it is the duty of our participants to take care of their travel arrangements, accommodation and meals.
Our other option is to join our all-inclusive Happy Days courses that we offer together with two other enterprises in Raahe, Finland. See section “Project Happy Days” for this option.
Both courses can be taken as an Erasmus+ course, and each participant will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
Practical experience:
*NB! Class observation and school lunch only available during regular school days, not during holiday time. Please note that the Finnish academic year notably differs schedule-wise from other school years in other countries.
Theoretical background:
All course participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completing the course.

The project ran until February 28, 2024, and was co-funded by the EU Leader Programme, more precisely by Leader Nouseva Rannikkoseutu ry. Our long-term goal is to provide courses about the Finnish education system on an on-going basis, by offering our courses to teachers and other school personnel especially through the Erasmus+ Programme.
With the help of the project funding, our enterprises are able to gain visibility for the courses that we offer. For example, we have been able to visit fairs and networking happenings, and print leaflets and roll-ups about our project. We have also been able to produce a video about our first Erasmus+ KA1 course in Raahe, Finland, in April 2022:
